As most of you know our son Declan was diagnosed at birth with unilateral hearing loss, meaning he has severe to profound hearing loss in his left ear. Declan wears a bone conductor hearing aid to assist with the hearing in his right ear and has been thriving under the care of Children's Hospital. While his diagnosis was a difficult one to receive, we quickly realized that the network of people ready and available to help us was beyond anything we could have imagined. Through Early Intervention we were connected to Clarke Schools for Hearing & Speech where Declan became a member of their playgroup program. Clarke's mission was clear, they were there to provide children who are deaf and hard of hearing with the listening, learning and spoken language skills they need to succeed. And they do it in such a fun and entertaining way.
Please help me raise money so that Clarke School can continue to provide other children with all the love, fun & learning that Declan was able to enjoy!
