BENEFITING: FAMILIES IN SCHOOLS
Every day, I dedicate 8 hours of hard work to achieve a vision where public schools provide all students with the opportunities and resources necessary to succeed in school and in life. I work at Families In Schools (FIS), and I want you to help support my efforts to improve public education for all students because I believe that FIS is our best hope for making this vision a reality in California.
This year, FIS was challenged by a local foundation to raise $125,000. If we can engage our friends, family, and peers to donate generously, and raise the money, they will match our efforts, dollar for dollar. Any donation you make, from now until June 30, 2013 may be eligible to be doubled through the challenge. You can help FIS turn $125,000 into $250,000.
As I believe in the power of FIS’ mission, I am making a financial contribution to meet the challenge. Will you visit http://www.crowdrise.com/FamiliesInSchools, and help me reach my goal by making a generous donation to support FIS? If you prefer to make a donation with a check, contact FIS so that your donation can be validated and doubled through the challenge.
Giving to FIS has never been easier.
For FIS, change begins with increased parent engagement, deepens in partnership with teachers and communities, and the impact is institutionalized through reform in the school systems. The effect for students is incredible: when parent, communities, and schools work in partnership, students achieve at higher rates. That change cannot happen without support from you and me.
With your personal and financial help, we will empower millions of families across California to support their children's education, ensuring that they are on the path towards lifelong success.
Thank you for making this campaign a success.
