My desire is to see faith communities emerge with one voice, not only to raise awareness, but more importantly to mobilize into action on behalf of orphans and the fatherless so that the world will see God’s heart when He works through ordinary people like you and me.
As we began to seek and pray how God would have us serve, it became clear that our focus should begin in our own back yard. To our horror, we found that Massachusetts has 10,000 children in foster care of which 1,736 children are in Western Mass. Further research showed that currently 510,000 children are in the U.S. foster care system and 135,000 of these children are available for adoption. We cried out, “how can there be orphans in America and where is the faith community?
