THE STORY:

Family of 4 is in need of some financial assistance and are in immediate need. My name is Sonya and I am a 44 year old mother of 3 children with 2 of them still at home. Their ages are 15 and 11. My husband, I, and the boys just moved to Flordia in April and just as I secured a great job I got some news from my doctor back home that my Anemia has gotten so severe that I needed an immediate blood transfusion as I was at risk of going into Cardiac Arrest. I went into the emergency room and ended up getting a blood transfusion. Afterwards I followed up with my doctor back in Georgia and she was concerned with some other test results that had come back as suspicious. My family has a high mortality rate from Uterine and Ovarian cancers and so this of course was a concern. I have been seeing a Hematologist for my Anemia and suspicions of cancer.Because of the issues that have presented themselves I was unable to start the job I was offered. My husband is well and is working 45+ hours a week and trying to keep us a float. It's been a very stressfull time and a tremendous hardship on us. Thank goodness I just got approved for an insurance plan through marketplace just as all this started. The deductible is high and it only pays for some of the testing, biopsies, and scans that have had to have done. Thankfully all my tests have come back negative with no mailgnancy but I do have to have a hysterectomy and I am scheduled on Wednesday, June 22,2016. My doctors feel that if the cysts on my uterus and ovaries are not removed they have potential to turn into cancer and that is what we are trying to avoid.Endometriosis and adenomyosisis my diagnosis with cyst on my right ovary. Surgery is my only opition. My health issues go back 7 years and I am now being followed for a small lump on my right breast that was found. At this time they are sure that it's nothing to be concerned about as it is very small. Too small to biopsy.I am to do a repeat mammogram with ultrasound in about 6-12 months to see if there are changes. The immediate need for the hysterectomy is primary concern. I have always been a strong, independant woman that never gone without work. I have been very depressed and suffering from major anxiety as a result. I feel like a failure as a mom that I can't even give my boys the simplist of things right now. Never ever have I felt so trapped. I know my husband is having restless nights as he feels he's not able to make the difference while I'm down. He's doing the best he can. We are in the sense in real need for help right now. I have never been in this bad of a situtation and feel broken. The bills are coming without a break and the surgical bill is coming soon. Our portion after insurance will be $1,752.00 .I will be unable to work for a minimum of 6-8 weeks after surgery is all goes well. I humbly ask for any help that we can get and of course we'd love prayers to for a speedy recovery for myself and for some peace for my family at this time. We know all hardships are part of whatever plan or lesson that God has for us and we are trying to get through this one gracefully. Sometimes we all need help. Thanks for your time if you are still reading this. And thank you for your compassion and kindness. Kind Regards, Sonya R.
