Established in 1971 - The Family Planning Center of Ocean County, Inc. (FPCOC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) health care agency. The mission of the FPCOC is to increase community awareness about the benefits of reproductive healthcare and disease prevention through education, program activities and services. We are commited to ensuring access to quality reproductive health care services and to increasing positive health outcomes by improving the overall health status among women, adolescents and families in Ocean County, regardless of their financial status. We are the only family planning center in Ocean County, delivering our specialty service with professionalism, competence and campassion. Our staff remains committed to helping, healing and taking care of women and their families.

By providing medical and educational services, as well as approved methods of birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, we assist women and couples in developing a reproductive life plan. This concept enables individuals/couples to set goals based on personal values and resources regarding pregnancy and parenting. The Family Planning Center is a non-abortion facility.

As an Essential Community Provider, FPCOC provides easy access to quality reproductive healthcare services to all, especially the uninsured and the under-insured. FPCOC participates in NJ Medicaid, FamilyCare HMO's, Medicare and most private insurances. Our agency adheres to strict health care standards and program guidelines set forth by the U.S.Dept. of Health & Human Services, the NJ Dept. of Health and the NJ Family Planning League.

Access to preventitive healthcare and increased awareness are key to a healthier community. Factual educational sessions and program activities will assist in keeping our community well informed.
