Family Promise of Morris County utilizes over 75 congregations of all faiths throughout Morris County to provide shelter, overnight staffing and meals to homeless families. The dedication of up to 1,600 volunteers makes Family Promise the most cost-effective local shelter program. Our programming includes the Emergency Shelter Program (ES), Community Support Programs (CSP), our Holiday Program and Homelessness Education. CSP assists families who transition to homes of their own or are in danger of becoming homeless – providing 24 hour crisis intervention, in home case management and linkage to critical services, with the goal of ensuring that families maintain permanent housing. Our programming is designed to address the cycle of generational poverty and homelessness as well as the challenges that many families face for the first time in this difficult economy.
