BENEFITING: Friends of the World Food Program
More than 13 million people in the Horn of Africa require food assistance due to the region's worst drought in half a century, the United Nations says.
As the number of hungry people rises, there is a greater need for fortified, supplementary food products to combat malnutrition, especially in children. All of this amongst countries at war as well, making it next to impossible for some to even get to food and water sources.
The UN says that famine exists in two regions of southern Somalia, southern Bakool and Lower Shabelle. Across the country, nearly half of the Somali population are now in crisis. But parts of Kenya and Ethiopia are also in crisis.
PLEASE join me in making an effort to help those in such need. Save your money and instead of going out to eat today, or buying that Starbucks coffee, donate whatever you can to help this important cause to help save so many lives.
I have chose The World Food Programme out of all of the amazing organizations that are making efforts in the Eastern Africa region. WPF is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger. http://www.wfp.org/
PLEASE, take a few moments and a few dollars, and help me in this effort to help save those in Eastern Africa.
