Farmisan's Market Funding
Organized by: Ozlem Jennings
The Farmisan's Market all started with a single post asking "Why we don't have one here..." Tobie Harding reached out to me (Ozlem Jennings) and pretty much said "Let's do it". We did not know each other prior but with the same passion, we connected. Today we have the Farmisan's Market (farmers and artisans). We started this with little to no money and all has been out of pocket. What little donations that we do receive we put directly towards insurance, marketing and promotional items. All vendor fees are donated directly to The Mount Juliet Help Center and we personally do not make any profit off of the event. It is 100% volunteer.
The Farmisan's Market is held every third Saturday of the month from 4-7 p.m. through March - October. The reason it is only held once a month is because we want this to be a family/community event that people plan to visit. Bring lawn chairs and hang out with friends while listening to music. Pick up some produce, meat, baked good and some items from the artisans while spending time with friends, family and meeting new people.
So far our biggest hurdle is raising the money to become an official non-profit 501c. This is what this fundraiser is for. If you are able to donate even $1, that is $1 closer to our goal. We love our community and want to continue this great event that we started.
