This is for my love!!! To all our family and friends, as well as anyone who is concerned with the human rights of one of your brothers.... This is Greg's story!! Greg was charged with aggressive assult and is currently being held in Collins correction facility. I am asking for your help because Greg did not commit this crime and there is NO EVIDENCE suggesting that he did. Its a clear case of the justice system, unlawfully, locking another brother up for no reason. Firstly Greg should have been released on his own recognizance considering the fact that he has no criminial record of any type. Secondly Greg should have been given the benefit of the doubt considering that there was no evidence to prove that he committed this crime, and it was clearly a domestic situation with regards to his ex wife who was not ready to let go.. So she charged him with something that he did not do, and the justice system failed him by not allowing him to keep his job, live his life and be productive citizen in society, until he proven guilty beyond a shodow of a doubt. Again he was not given that right!! Lastly, The Constitution clearly says that all that are accused shall be set a reasonable bond, again... Greg was denies that right by having a bond set so high that he was unable to get himself out of jail to prove his innocence. Since Greg has been unlawfully incarcerated, he lost his apartment, car, and could loose his job as a trainer/truck driver. We are asking that you help us raise money for his bond so that Greg can get back to his life, his job, his children and grand children... We cannot do it without the help of people who care! Just think for a moment how you would feel if someone claimed that you did something, with no evidence, and the next day you were being housed in a county jail with an extremely high bond. Lets be real people, this would not have happened to a white man or a rich man.. The state of Texas is making $350 a day that he sits in there and stays in the system. PLEASE help us stop thishorrible injistice by donating anything u can! With gratful regards... We thank you ahead of time for your gift of love and of justice... From the family of Gregory E. Coley Sr.
