Vets are not being treated and cared for like they should. My father was in the Army for two Life times, then turned around and went back in to the Army to cook for the "top brass". He retired as a Colonel, and passed away in 1980. I want to open a Veteran's Group Home in memory of my father, Jim E. Christopher who served in World War 1, World War 11, Hawaiian War and then became a Chef! Vets don't get the medical attention, the caring, housing or resources that are available to them, in a timely manner. I want to buy a piece of property in Glenn Heights, Texas that will allow me to build a Vet's home on it, and allow me to use my skills to assist Vets in their everyday living. It will be a Vet's Group Home, until the Vet can get on his feet. There will be no cost to the Vet to reside in this Group Home, other than a minimum basic fee, and that is only if they can afford it. Otherwise, there are all kinds of resources that are out there that can assist the Vets to get back on their feet, and I know how to point them in the right direction, plus I have years of experience in caring for the needs of others. My dream is to get the property first, then build on the property a home big enough to house Vets. The property is only one acre, but that's a start. I can also use all the help from anyone wishing to assist me in this journey. Please bring your skills! If you are interested in making this dream for Vets come true, please contact me with any suggestions, assistance, contributions, etc. Remember: GOD IS IN CONTROL. THIS WILL HAPPEN!
