Fayette County HS: Khaled Hosseini Foundation
Team Member: Sehr Abdulla
Fayette County High School is excited to be partnering with the Khaled Hosseini Foundation with the hope of offering shelter to the struggling Afghani people. With many people returning back to Afghanistan after decades of conflict, they often lack access to secure homes.
Through your involvement and donations, the National Honor Society can help provide shelter to people in need. The Khaled Hosseini Foundation writes the following:
"The Khaled Hosseini Foundation is partnering with the United Nations refugee organization (UNHCR) to provide the materials and know-how to help Afghans build their own homes. Shelter is especially important in Afghanistan where the average temperature is 25 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. Families without shelter typically lose their children and elderly to the cold.
