Faythe Hixon wrote -My name is Fayhe Hixon and I recently turned thirteen, the idea of my project started about 6 months ago. Everything started one morning when my teacher read a devotional story about a group of kids who wanted to make a club, they discussed on what they would make their club about, they decided that they would raise money for ADRA. They wanted their fundraiser to go to children who didn't have clean water. In the devotional it had mentioned that every 20 seconds a child dies from lack of clean water. That really seemed to sink in, I kept thinking and thinking about it. It kept popping up in my head every now and then, I figured I would forget about it, but I didn't. The more I thought about it the more I realized that maybe God was trying to tell me something. I prayed for many weeks trying to figure out what God was trying to tell me. I realized that God wanted me to make a difference, He wanted me to do my best to help people in need. I'm working with an ADRA representative, she is helping me with the process of fundraising the money to build a well in Africa. I am planning on raising $5000 by the end of May. This is a large sum of money but I think that if it's in God's hands anything is possible! God has impressed me to help people in need, I am very grateful for this opportunity. Thank you all so much for your support and donations.
