BENEFITING: FRIENDS OF CHICAGO ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL INC
If you don't already know Samurai, he is one of FCACC's FUREVER FRIENDS, a special, medically needy animal who needs our support for the rest of his life. His amazing foster mommy, Meghan Haynes, does everything she can to provide him with the best life.
Unfortunately, Samurai has a history of epilepsy. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes him to have sudden, uncontrolled, recurring physical attacks (seizures), with or without loss of consciousness. We believe his seizures were brought on by having distemper as a puppy, which made it's way to his brain and although he survived, the distemper still lives in his brain. Last week, Samurai had a series of seven violent seizures and was rushed to the ER. The medical team is doing all they can to keep him stabilized, and as you can imagine, the expenses are massive.
We are reaching out to our wonderful supporters to contribute to the costs of caring for our sweet boy. He needs all of the love and support we can provide. Every dollar counts and no donation is too small. We truly appreciate your support!
