BENEFITING: LITTLE DRESSES FOR AFRICA
EVENT DATE: Sep 22, 2014
Days of Celebration in September 2014 will take place in Malawi through Little Dresses for Africa. We will open a soccer field at the Village of Thobola. We will open a well at the Village of Chinkhuluchina and we would like to mark that day of celebration by feeding the Village and the surrounding visitors. It is an excellent opportunity to teach and encourage. Clean water saves lives but so does the instruction on sanitation and nutrition. We want to use these celebrations as a way to teach the community as they celebrate. This is our 10th trip to Malawi. We know this works. We go personally to distribute little dresses, food, and instruction as we celebrate the projects that we fund. To feed this great amount of people will take $1200 for each day ($2400). We would also like to deliver 200 "Buckets of Hope" to the widows nearby and the "child-headed" families, which are homes where a child is responsible for taking care of her younger siblings. These buckets contain salt, sugar, oil, soap, rice, Vaseline and a mosquito net. It is a wonderful opportunity love and encourage and teach the recipients. Each brightly colored bucket costs $20. We'd like to deliver 200 of them = $4000. Whatever we raise is what we will deliver. 100% goes to the program. We are all volunteers and will be delivering them personally in September to Malawi. Thank you for your help!
