BENEFITING: Feed The Children, Inc.

EVENT DATE: Jun 11, 2016
My name is Lorraine I'm 19 years old, currently studying at Boston University. In November of 2014, I smacked my head hard on hardwood floor during a martial arts competition, and suffered from a long-lasting concussion (1 whole year!) that set me back in academics, training, and left me with lots of other symptoms. To pick myself back up, I decided to take a gap semester. To broaden my horizons, what better way to spend 6 months training hardcore for a 10-12 mile, miltary-style obstacle race? Needless to say, I signed up and started to train for Tough Mudder New England, June 18th, 2016. Now, I’m only 5 feet tall and possess only average fitness skills— a tough mudder would be rough. To prepare myself physically (and mentally!), I began Crossfit in October 2015. Now, I spend 5 days a week training hard at Crossfit CSTL, along with my own daily conditioning skills that I do at home. Check out my video to see how I've been training!
While looking for even more motivation to train as hard as my body to handle, I decided to run the Tough Mudder for charity! I joined Feed the Children, an American-based charity with a goal to end childhood hunger. In only one year, they supplied children and their families with 129 million USD worth of food, medicine and essentials in 18 countries. I am so excited to join the Feed the Children’s Tough Mudder Team and raise money for their charity!
TL;DR: I’m training for a Tough Mudder for charity and I need your help! I promise I'll train as hard as I can. Will you sponsor me and Feed the Children? Any amount of support would be greatly appreciated! :)

Feed the Children exists to end childhood hunger and we are taking a stand and we will not rest until every child has enough to eat. Join us in our fight to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry.
