FEED THE FAMILY (FTF) identifies families struggling to feed their children. FTF works directly with community social agencies and third party referals to identify families with children under the age of 13 who are unable to provide at least two nutritional meals per day for the family. FTF will contact the family and accompany them to their area grocery store and purchase enough groceries to feed the family for one month. FTF purchases exclude alcoholic beverages, candy, or other discretionary items. FTF will allow the purchase of toilet paper, shampoo, and shampoo on a limited basis. Families will qualify for one shopping trip per year. To qualify, at least one adult must be employed at least 20 hours per week and be designated at or below "poverty level".
