This year Felidae Conservation Fund celebrates it’s 10 Year Anniversary —10 years of researching and conserving wild cats and their ecosystems. We are grateful for the public support that has made our work possible since 2006 and we ask you to support us now in our end of year campaign.
We have received an offer to match all donations (2x), and if we raise $50,000 by December 31, 2016, the offer extends to a double match (3x) to continue our work on behalf of wild cats. Individuals that donate $20 or more will be entered into our Holiday Raffle to win prizes such as restaurant gift certificates, tickets to the San Francisco Ballet, signed football from the San Francisco 49ers, tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Golden State Warriors Finals TShirt, and more!
A decade ago Felidae was launched to advance the conservation of threatened wild felids and their habitats throughout the world. Our multipronged approach combines forward-looking research, education and technology for novel approaches to felid conservation. We also reach worldwide audiences through extensive outreach in social media.
Why Cats? The threats facing wild cats—habitat loss, road kill, poaching, retaliatory killing, disease, and poisoning—stem from human-wildlife conflict. Our research and education efforts work tirelessly to address these threats with solutions rooted in science. In particular, our flagship project, the Bay Area Puma Project, conducts extensive research coupled with education and outreach to the community to promote co-existence.
Please consider supporting this project again or for the first time, and follow us on social media.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!
