BENEFITING: SAVING ONE LIFE
Felis joined the Saving One Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary family just in the nick of time. He was just a few hours away from euthanasia at a high kill shelter.
When he joined the rescue, he was shy and scared. He needed a lot of cuddling and time to build trust. Thankfully, he loves people and treasures affection and play.
Unfortunately, Felis has another challenge. He has eyelid agensis. He is missing part of his eyelids which means that his facial hair and eye lashes rub up against his eyes all the time. Can you imagine the feeling of having hair in your eye all the time? AWFUL. (Learn more about this: https://mrfantasticweaselfox.wordpress.com/eyelid-agenesis/) The best solution for this neverending discomfort is surgery. The surgery is expected to resolve the the issue completely. This surgery must be done by a veterinary ophthalmologist. The surgery is estimated at $1,563.50.
As a rescue, we work diligently to ensure we can cover routine and more advanced veterinary costs (including lab work, x-rays, dental, minor surgery, biopses, etc.) but surgeries this extensive are not something we can be prepared for.
Please consider helping us give Felis the relief he deserves. Please note that all donations are tax-deductible as we are a 501c3 with Tax ID #27-1173539.
