EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Fenway Health is the leader in LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) health in the nation, and serve all in our community who come to us for their care regardless of the ability to pay. We have over 25,000 patients and we serve most of our patients from our main building at 1340 Boylston St., Boston.
We provide primary care, behavioral health, women's health, dentistry, optometry, and we specialize in care for people living with HIV (with ~2,000 HIV+ patients) and transgender people. We also serve ~1,600 youth patients and clients at our Sidney Borum Jr. Health Center at 75 Kneeland St., Boston, many of them "living on the streets", struggling with drug addiction, and many who identify as LGBT.
In addition to our role as a leading community health center, we also conduct world renowned research on ways to prevent HIV, and on issues of concern to the LGBT community including health disparities and access to care.
The mission of Fenway Health is to enhance the wellbeing of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and all people in our neighborhoods and beyond through access to the highest quality health care, education, research and advocacy.
