BENEFITING: Bert's Big Adventure
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2015
Festivus Games is proud to support this amazing event!
Crossfit Etowah, in Woodstock Georgia, is hosting the worldwide functional-fitness competition Festivus Games on April 18th, 2015. During an intermission Michael Mills, an adaptive athlete without functional legs, is going to set an officially sanctioned Guinness world record by pulling a 4,000+-pound truck 100 meters, hand over hand, while in his wheel chair.
All of the proceeds raised for Michael's world-record pull will be donated to the amazing charity called Bert's Big Adventure.
Bert's Big Adventure helps kids 5-12 who have been diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness, or are physically challenged.
Michael's pull has been sanctioned by the Guinness Book of World Records, meticulously scrutinized by Guinness, and WHEN he is successful he will have an official world record.
Ripley's Believe It Or Not is also going to be on site to record this historic event all for the fantastic cause of helping unfortunate kids.
Michael embodies the spirit of Festivus Games, it's "for the rest of us." Please give what you can to support this very worthy cause.
