Fiancé had a collapsed lung :(
Organized by: Evelyn Kraatz-Williams
Hi everyone. My name is Evelyn Williams. Reason I am on here is because on May 20th 2014 my fiancé Shaun Kraatz lung collapsed spontaneously while working his full time job and our main source of income. He ended up going to the hospital where in fact the determined it did fully collapsed. What happened next was heartbreaking. They had to insert a chest tube suck out the air and re inflate his lung to see if it would hold up. 2 days later they clamped the tube because his oxygen level was holding so they wanted to see if his lung would. Between the hours of 8am when they clamped it and 12pm when they did his chest X-ray his lung had collapsed again leaving us with no choice but to have thoracic surgery to adhere his lung to his chest wall so it doesn't fall again. He is 25 yrs old and is the primary support for myself And our 2 daughters ages 5 and 6 he works so hard and I love this man with all my heart. He works very hard to support us. I myself have a job as a nurse assistant but just isn't enough between the cost of child care alone to support our home food and all other bills with him being out. He is scheduled to have surgery may 27th and expected to be in the hospital on tubes for appx a week. From there he will be released but will not be able to go back to work for another 3 weeks and has to be extremely careful due to his job and it being a lung operation. He deals with emergency water fire and mold restoration. Fortunately enough he has an amazing job and amazing boss who is going to patiently await his return and even more thankful his insurance covers most of the hospital bills but not all. He does not have disability to pay our rent food electric etc. I could possibly end up losing my job due to all of this as well ;(. I just don't know what to do so I pray that god will help in this desperation of need. Please if you could find it in your heart to help myself him and our 2 beautiful daughters in this time on need we would all be so grateful. Whether it's $.1 or $1 we are so thankful for anything that you could help with. Again his surgery is going to be on May 27th at NCH downtown in naples florida. The only hospital in the area that specializes in lung accidents. Thank you soo much and god bless every single one of you. Please send prayers out way for a speedy recovery. Myself and our daughters are soo worried. I don't think they realize what might come of this and hope they don't have to. Again thank you to everyone we will never forget your kindness.
