BENEFITING: The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship
NFTE’s mission is to inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, recognize business opportunities, and plan for successful futures. The vision is to help all young people find their path to achieve their life goals as they become entrepreneurial citizens. NFTE has helped over 350,000 young people worldwide since 1987.
Since its inception in 2006, NFTE South Florida has partnered with public school districts to deliver the real-world, relevant learning that keeps young people engaged. To date, NFTE has helped institute entrepreneurship programs in over 22 middle and high schools for over 17,000 students. Ultimately students present their business plans to local entrepreneurs and top students are invited to participate in NFTE Business Plan Competitions all over the world.
NFTE South Florida's E-Council is a young professional group working towards fundraising for many of the organization's programs, specifically to increase the number of schools were the program is available in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for NFTE in 2013.
