My name is Chris “Fig” Figueroa. I am a proud Police Officer for the Putnam City Campus Police Department in Oklahoma City. It is truly my hearts joy every day that I get to go to work and keep kids safe. I strive to be a role model for these kids and have a positive impact on their life. I have currently served with this department for the last three years, and I am about to start my fourth school year with the middle school I am assigned at. I am a husband to the most amazing girl I know, and it breaks my heart to think, “What if something were to happen to me in the line of duty?” I want to raise money to help a family out in the same way I would be hope someone would step up to help my wife out. We are a family in blue, and this is what I need to do to help one of my brothers or sisters out. These hero’s have made the ultimate sacrifice for our safety, and I want to make sure they are remembered. Every time I race, I will race for the memory of a fallen officer. I have been a cyclist for the past four years, where I have completed the Oklahoma Freewheel twice (last year and this year), where we bike border to border across Oklahoma, roughly 500 miles in eight days. Last year I got in to multi sport where I completed my first half distance aqua-bike at the Oklahoma Redman Triathlon. In April I completed my first half marathon at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, which I got to do with my mother. I am currently signed up for the Ironman Arizona 70.3 where I hope to complete my first half distance Ironman. I have also signed up for a volunteer spot at Ironman Arizona where I hope to register for my first full distance Ironman that I will attempt in 2017.
