Help for Franco
Organized by: Katie Aring
Stephanie Soto is the full-time caregiver for our children, Ben Aring and Maya Fitzgerald. On March 25, 2016 her 4 year-old son Franco was diagnosed with lymphoma. He had been in and out of the ER for problems with his ear tubes and sinuses and in a matter of days a routine surgery turned into a horrible nightmare, a cancer diagnosis. There is currently a bone marrow test and a full body PET scan under way to figure out how invasive this disease has become in Franco. He will start his chemotherapy treatments in the next few days.
This family of four is living in the city of Chicago, barely able to make ends meet, and is now hit with childhood cancer. Stephanie is 28 years old, has two kids, Abiana (11) and Franco (4), and loves our children like her own. She is a strong person who will help her son fight like hell. Her husband recently lost his job and is currently driving uber while trying to find full-time employment.
Franco is a bright, energetic, happy, and funny little boy. We are asking for your help as our friends and family, knowing that you do not know Stephanie and Franco but rather as an extension of us. They will need money for major medical expenses, healthy food to help Franco fight, and for household changes that will need to be made in order to support an immune compromised child.
Thank you all very much for taking the time to read this. Your support means a lot to our families and most of all to Stephanie and Franco.
