Since 2008, CrossFit South Brooklyn (CFSBK) has conducted a yearly fundraiser in the form of a workout called Fight Gone Bad. Last year, CFSBK raised over $26,000 for the Brooklyn Community Foundation (BCF). BCF is the first and only public foundation solely dedicated to Brooklyn’s charitable community, working in partnership with generous donors and community leaders to bolster vital nonprofits, strengthen neighborhoods, and increase opportunities for youth. This year, CFSBK will again be partnering with BCF and hopes to surpass last year's donation numbers.
What is Fight Gone Bad? It's a Crossfit workout that consist of three rounds of:
-- Wall-ball (20lb,10ft / 14ft,9ft)
-- Sumo deadlift high-pull (75 / 55 pounds)
-- Box Jump (20" box)
-- Push-press (75 / 55 pounds)
In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On a call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
