BENEFITING: SafeHaven of Tarrant County
EVENT DATE: Nov 28, 2013
*One in 4 women have experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner. SafeHaven provides the only shelters in Tarrant County for women and children fleeing domestic abuse.*
Help me raise money to assist those fighting to get out of domestic violence and all that involves. Most of the work done through the shelter is by volunteer but it costs a lot for the shelter and food provided every day for the children and women who have escaped violence to live there temporarily in this struggle. Children are shown love through activities/art projects and support groups. Volunteers offer counseling/classes/legal aid for adults. Visit the site to learn more/volunteer yourself. We are all so blessed for each day we live, regardless of the situation. Being thankful to God, I pray to be used by Him. I'm praying for the strength to make it through this run and that by getting the message out, God will take the money and our lives to make a difference and help others in need. Thanks for anything you can donate~ I love you all!
*SafeHaven’s mission is to end family violence through safety, support, prevention and social change.*
***I'm training now to run the 26th Annual Lake Benbrook Half January 2014!~support my run by donating money that will go directly to the Safe Haven in Fort Worth, Texas.**
