Fight Breast Cancer Like A Girl For My Girls
Organized by: Sheena Allen
At 30 I was teaching my 13 year old how to do a self breast exam and found a huge knot in my right breast. After a lot of tests I was told I had stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. I try my best to be strong even though I also have neuropathy, sciatica, lymphedema, undergone chemo, radiation, & 5 surguries so far with at least 3 more to go. However, that diagnosis turned my two daughters & my life upside down. Because I have doctors appointments 5 days a week and a lot of side effects I have not been able to work or be as active with them as I'd like or they want me to be. Being divorced finances have really been strained. We had to move out of our home of 8 years, my girls had to leave their friends, schools, & comfort zone to help take care of me. That breaks my heart because I want them to enjoy the luxury of being carefree kids. With the donations & your help I plan on doing just that. I will pay bills, rent, take my girls school shopping, and on a REAL VACATION! Since we've never been able to take one that would allow us to make some precious memories!
