Our agency is on a mission to raise funds to support 8-year old Roman, who was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, continue to receive medical treatment. The disorder is called Neurofibromatosis or NF. NF causes tumors to grow in the nervous system uncontrollably that can result in deafness, blindness, paralysis and physical deformities.
Roman was diagnosed in October 2014 and has multiple tumors on his brain and spine. As other kids wake up and look forward to playing outside and going to school on a regular basis, little Roman has to be in and out of the hospital and attend physical therapy on a weekly basis, thus missing school quite often. Although there is no cure for NF, Roman is stable and this tough kid continues to fight and remain positive throughout this journey. 1 in 3000 babies are born with NF and there are currently very few treatment options available.
Our agency wants to help this courageous 8-year-old as well as the Children’s Tumor Foundation in providing treatment to other children like Roman. With your support and recommendation, we can help take away the financial burden on families that have to be in and out of the hospital to support their little ones during this tough time of receiving treatment.
