A charity seminar for the super typhoon victims of the Philippines featuring the top instructors of Calgary; Professor Josh Russell of Gracie Barra Calgary, Kru Trevor and Nate of Team Smandych Muay Thai and Kickboxing, Brad of Cardinal Jiu-jitsu and MMA and the trainers of Stenia Health and High Performance.
Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was an exceptionally powerful tropical cyclone that devastated portions of Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines, in early November 2013. It is the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, killing at least 6,155 people in that country alone. The cyclone caused catastrophic destruction in the Visayas, particularly on Samar and Leyte. According to UN officials, about 11 million people have been affected and many have been left homeless.
A day of learning and training showcasing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching.
Bring your own training gear (tee, shorts, gi, boxing/MMA gloves, shin pads, etc.) to get the most out of the seminar. open to all levels of experience.
