BENEFITING: ROCKY MOUNTAIN RSD CRPS
RMRSD is fighting for a cure for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS is a devastating chronic pain syndrome impacting an estimated 10 million people worldwide. Those afflicted with CRPS experience unrelenting, burning pain, often likened to having gas poured on your body and then a match lighting you on fire. CRPS is devastating to sufferers and their families. RMRSD is tirelessly devoted to the fight for a cure for this disease.
RMRSD donates critical funding to medical researchers performing cutting edge research trials. Last year, RMRSD helped fund a study using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) with exciting results; fully half of patients in the study experienced moderate to major reductions in pain. Elizabeth, one of the study participants told us: "By the end of the first treatment I experienced significant pain reduction, abatement of swelling, and my skin returned to normal color. Treatments went on for 5 days. Each day I experienced a marked improvement, more restful sleep, and a new found hope for CRPS treatments going forward. I feel fortunate to have participated in the early stages of testing, and find myself optimistic about the potential of TMS, something I have not felt since my diagnosis. Funding for these studies is critical to the development of non-invasive and more effective methods of treating CRPS.”
This is a critical time for CRPS research. We know we are onto something BIG. Will you support us by donating to RMRSD today?
FROM OUR FOUNDER, HELEN FREEMYER
I’ve made it my life’s mission to find a cure for CRPS within my lifetime. Nobody should live in constant, burning pain 24 hours a day. I Fight the Fire for now, but my ultimate goal is to Find a Cure.
WHY US? WHY NOW?
With this donation you will help us to fund a second trial study with the Stanford Pain Clinic which will build on the learning of the first trial and get us that much closer to a cure to bring relief to thousands living with CRPS! There is no amount too small; every little bit helps us get to our goal of finding a cure! Please join us in the fight and donate TODAY!
