“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharial Nehru
Hi, my name is Abbey Frisco and I'm a sophomore Film student at Huntington University. I have the chance this January to travel to Japan with a group of film students from my university. We will be assisting with pre-production video storyboards for a feature-length film based on two men's escape from the Japanese gang culture. This will be a story about transformation and finding the love of God. We will also be spending time filming for a pilot episode of a PBS show that will focus on the small percentage (less than 1%) of Christians living in Japan. Our goal is to not only gain new film experience internationally, but to also see how other cultures worship Christ.
I have never been outside of the country before besides a day spent on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. This is my first opportunity to travel abroad and to work in the film industry abroad. God has called me to step out of my comfort zone immensely this year, and I feel this is one more step on my journey with Him. I have never been able to experience culture outside of the U.S. and I am fascinated by the prospect of being able to step out of the country and see what the rest of the world is like. Any help is appreciated!! Prayer is also appreciated!! Thank you in advance to everyone!
