Around 7 am Sunday morning and snow was falling the sky was a greyish white color our home sits beyond the barn and can't be seen from our house. When we bought the farm we thought it would be great privacy but it is not the case any more. Our 7 horses and 1 mini donkey are stabled along with our 3 beautiful Cattle dogs. Our phone rings and our neighbor says that they think our barn is on fire they see smoke coming out of it. That's where one of our worst nightmares begin. We could not drive fast enough to get to it. It seemed like forever to get to it. As we pull up and I'm jumping out before the truck stops there is smoke pouring out of the seams. Freaking out and crying but trying to keep my wits I slide the door open and suddenly smoke fully filling the barn and Ryder, one of our cattle dogs runs out of the barn. My husband and son both ran into the barn to grab the hose to start putting the fire out I then ran around the back of the barn where flames where shooting out. I grab the door handle to slide that door open and the handle is so hot as I open it there in the left stall is where the fire is, where our 2 dogs were. To the left of the stall our one dog Rosin is lost in the fire. I grab Flank our other dog thinking I could at least save her but realized she to is gone. Now as my husband still hosing down the fire but we can't see a thing through the thick smoke my son, neighbors and myself start pulling my horses out of there stalls out of the barn. God bless my horses where all so calm and level minded we got them all out safely. Sadly loosing two of our dogs but they are more then just our dogs they are family, our babies. We are so grateful that we could have lost all of our animals but our hearts are so heavy with our loss. The fire department said the fire was cause by electical. We are in need of help of rebuilding our barn as our ins will not cover it because we moved from a different state and they won't cover it.
