The walk will consist of 2,225 steps, one step for every child experiencing homelessness in our county. We're encouraging kids (and adults too!) to come in costume and walk or run for fun and a good cause. The Race to End Child Homelessness will take place on October 31 at Mt. Tabor Park. Sign-in begins at 8:30 AM, and the run/walk begins at 9:30. All funds raised through this event will be dedicated to preventing child homelessness, including eviction prevention and other support for families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. At the last Point in Time Count, there were 2,225 children experiencing homelessness in Multnomah County. That's enough to fill every classroom in five elementary schools. You can help change this.
