First house plumbing repairs
Organized by: Bobby Atkins
Hello, we are the Atkins family. My wife and I just purchased what we thought was our dream house. It wasn't a huge mansion just a small house but had everything we could of ever asked for for ourselves and our two young children. Everything was going great and we were very excited. For the last 6 years we have been sharing a trailor one with family. With golf ball sized holes in the roof iffy electricity and bathrooms that barely function. Not to mention the health concerns of mold; we finally saved up enough money to purchase our first house and pay off 80% of our debt. This excitment came to a crashing end just a week after purchasing the house and connecting utilities. We noticed that the floor under the bathroom was sinking and the wood subfloor was rotting and wet. It turns out the house has cast iron plumbing and it is in bad shape. We have had several quotes for the repairs over the past 3 weeks and now we are left looking for a way to get the repairs done. Every bit of money we had went into bying the house. We did everything properly had the house inspected and thought we were starting off right. We are asking for your help. It has been a month and we can't move in until the repairs are done. The goal amount is for getting the plumbing repaired and all the materials and labor that goes into that. To anyone with the kindness to donate my family and I thank you. And wish you only the best in life.
