Organized by: Craig Rappaport
Event Name: Fish-For-Noah Benefit Sportfishing Event
EVENT DATE Sep 29, 2015
Noah is a 12 year old boy who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He has Pre B ALL Leukemia and the treatments have started. He is considered acute and high risk due to the fact that he is over 10. He is still in a good age group because he's under 16 and has been responding to chemotherapy. He has a 3 year treatment plan. The first 6 months are the hardest with outpatient chemo IV treatments once a week or more. Because his immune system is suppressed, his siblings have been taken out of school and day care to avoid contact with others who might be unwell, and thereby bring home something that could render Noah very sick. Therefore, Noah's mother, Shannon has had to cut way back on work. Plus, medical costs and other financial burdens are piling up. Until Noah can return to school, hopefully in six months, Shannon will find it hard to contribute to the family income. This event is meant to help mitigate the financial hardships this family is enduring.
