Emily Fletcher grew up in Auburn and attended Edward Little High School. She was a standout runner in cross-country and track. On December 18, 2004, at age 21, Emily’s life was tragically taken in a car accident. In her memory and spirit, the Emily Fletcher Memorial 5K (Emily’s Run) was established to both celebrate her life and raise funds for the Fletcher Foundation. The Fletcher Foundation's funds help support two college scholarships in Emily's name and a donation to the Auburn Public Library.
In 2013, Emily's Run is on Sunday, July 21 at 8:30 a.m. Your registration fee for the 5k (Register online on the Triple Crown page) is a great way to support Emily's Run, the Fletcher Foundation, the Triple Crown, and the L/A community.
If you're not able to join us for the 5k, or if you want to give a little something extra, please consider donating to the Fletcher Foundation through this page. Each year, as we donate to the scholarships and APL, we are also putting aside savings to eventually endow our contributions to these causes and help remember Emily forever.
