BENEFITING: Foundation For Flint
My name is Nieema Foster and I am in my last year of graduate school studying Global Development and Social Justice. Inspired by my photo journalistic journey to Flint in March to document the personal accounts of those affected by the water crisis, I am starting The Flint Bottled Water Challenge Fundraiser. The fundraiser will be a humanitarian effort to raise funds for the Flint Child Health and Development Fund of the Foundation for Flint. I invite you to give in support of the Flint Child Health and Development Fund, which provides long-term support for wraparound services to Flint children exposed to lead in their drinking water. In conjunction with the fundraiser is the Flint Bottled Water Challenge in which participants use only bottled water for daily activities that require water for washing dishes, showering, cooking, etc. between 1-7 days to show solidarity with those in Flint, many of whom have had to rely on bottled water for their everyday subsistence due to the toxicity of the water and lead contaminated pipes. 100% of all donations will go directly to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund.
