BENEFITING: Foundation For Flint
"Flint, Michigan has been through a lot.
Residents have faced a crisis.
They’ve been ignored.
They’ve watched their children suffer
But that’s not the end of the story!
Flint may have been through more than most communities could withstand, but the people of Flint are resilient; and although the Flint Water Crisis is out of the headlines, the Lead Crisis will continue for generations. Over 13,000 children under the age of 8 were exposed to lead tainted water for over two years. We invite you to support the Flint Child Health and Development Fund (FCHDF) of the Foundation for Flint. We know the needs of Flint children exposed to lead, particularly those most vulnerable – children ages 0-6 – are ongoing and long-term. Dr. Mona Hanna Attisha of Hurley Medical Center and Michigan State University is the founding donor of the FCHDF. She says, “If there was ever a time to invest in our children, it is now.” "
