BENEFITING: THE RUSTIC PATHWAYS FOUNDATION INC
In Prek Toal, Cambodia, a section of the village’s primary school is sinking. In this unique community, almost all of the village’s structures are stilted or floating on water. On a daily basis, teachers pump water from the bottom of the building to keep it afloat. The remaining life of this structure is uncertain, and the community lacks the resources and funding to keep it afloat. The goal of this project is to ensure that 285 students have safe, year-round, permanent access to their primary school. The community determined that the best long term solution was to build a new stilted school on land during the dry season, allowing for a durable and safe school for the children of Prek Toal. The five classroom building will cost $100,000 to complete, but this structure will immediately fulfill the community’s needs and will ensure that all of its children have permanent access to a primary education. I hope you can join me in the journey to create this wonderful building in order for the children of Prek Toal to receive the education that they need! Thank You!
