THE STORY:
Over 30% of Pakistan was flooded in July 2010. Now, almost six months later, much of these flood waters have still not drained, leaving some 8 million Pakistanis either homeless or refugees in their own country.
Five weeks of devastating monsoon rains created a "slow-moving tsunami" which affected 20 million residents along the entire Indus River. Slow donor response and the enormous magnitude of the disaster created an unfortunate "disaster fatigue" leaving many survivors without help even after all this time.
