Keegan was born with his insides on the outside and was given 50/50 odds, the pediatric surgery team at Laurie's Hospital helped him beat those odds, he is a bright, funny inspiring 12 year old. four surgeries later his last one had complications What should have been a simple spinal fusion caused his organs to stop, home has been the 20th floor of the hospital. when one of the volunteers asked Keegan if he needed anything, he asked to help families pay their bills, proving his heart is his strongest organ! Many late night conversations with the nurses we've discovered floor 20 pediatric surgery receives very little funding. Most donations, celebrity visits and funding go to better known pediatric illnesses. floor 20 sees kids with organ failure, transplants, dog attacks. The odd and unexplainable. Many kids on this floor have lifetime medical issues and incur large lifetime medical bills. Keegan asked to create a place to help him and others.
