BENEFITING: FLORIDA COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INC
The FCADV Foundation works to ensure that life-saving and life-changing shelter, services and programs are available to domestic violence survivors and their children as they rebuild their lives and live free from violence.
Florida’s certified domestic violence centers are the first line of defense to achieving safety and independence by providing a place for survivors and their children to flee violent homes. Last year, Florida’s 42 certified centers provided 600,621 nights of life-saving shelter to those escaping violence. Many fled with children, who represent almost half of those receiving emergency shelter.
Providing Long-Term Stability
While federal, state and local funding plays a crucial role, it is incumbent upon the private sector to be a key partner in our effort to sustain long-term service provision to domestic violence survivors and their children.
The FCADV Foundation, Inc. aims to ensure that direct services for domestic violence survivors and their children are always available and accessible for those in need.
