Fly high baby Brody
Organized by: Jennifer Woodall
Brody was born August 16, 2015. He was a blue eyed beautiful baby boy! Who everyone thought was heathy as he could be! October 16, 2015 Brody was diagonosed with SMA spinal muscular atorphy. It's a genetic disease that takes away the ability to eat, swollow, smile, move and even breath! She left the hospital with 7 to 8 pieces of equipment that she would now have to use to keep her baby boy alive and able to breath with. Jennifer, Brodys mom was determined to not let this disease take and harm her baby boy! There is needless to say no cure for this disease. Brody had to have surgery to have a gtube put in place so Jennifer could feed him through as he was unable to swollow his own food. They have clinical trials going on that are in phase three trying to reach a cure for this awful disease, Jennifer had gotten Brody in this trial and traveled to North Carolina as much as she could to get this injection as they are seeing so much improvement with kids that are getting it. But everytime Brody went which was 3 times he came back home so sick and ended up in the hospital with respiratory problems. He was on life support 3 times and this little boy fought hard for his life! This boy was a fighter and a little trooper everything he went through he still had a smile on his face! But two weeks ago Brody just wasn't the same! He wasn't smiling or anything. He was needing 100 percent oxygen he just wasn't the same. Brody fought until the very end until he couldn't fight anymore! Brody lost his battle April 16th, 2016 at 8:00pm. Anything would help this family as Jennifer stopped working in order to take care of Brody with all the machines he had and all the equipment it took to keep him alive. She also has a two year old named Bentley that! Jennifer is devastated as she has to burry her 8th month of baby boy! I tried to some all of this up into one paragraph as I know I did not mention nearly what I was going to say as I am still in no words. Thank you everyone who took the time to read this, prayers are needed!
