What We Need & What You Get
This campaign aims to raise the necessary funding for the establishement of internet in rural kenya, thanks to the arrival of the fibre optic cables internet penetration to rural areas is much easier. We are looking foward to introduce computers to schools. The total needed is $50,000, which will cover the purchasing of introduction to computer/internet books, buying of computers, buying of solar panels due to lack of electricity to most of the rural parts of kenya. If all goes well, we’ll do another drive for future years. We will keep you updated on the progress with posts on Facebook and postcards from Kenya. What We Need & What You Get
The Impact
We have all heard the that helping a young children stay in school helps the whole community, that the longer they stays in school the more their siblings, parents and future offspring benefit. But in Kenya only a small percentage of children attend schools with computer studies facilities. A child equiped with the knowledge of computer and advanced with internet will benefit her community exponentially - and for years to come. They will be able to impact the future of a nation.
