Focus: HOPE's Center for Children opened on September 23, 1987 and has been a leading provider of early childhood education in the HOPE Village neighborhood ever since. We serve families with children from six weeks to five years old and provide a safe and supportive environment that allows children to learn and grow.
We offer no-cost, full-day services and use a HighScope curriculum which emphasizes hands-on learning opportunities for creative expression and development of basic math and reading skills. Focus: HOPE is committed to helping prepare the next generation for a successful future and we need your support.
Studies show that nominal investment in early childhood education has a significant benefit to the community. Public savings on education, welfare and the criminal justice system, coupled with increased tax earnings can results in a net gain of $180,000 for each child served by a preschool program.
Focus: HOPE has embarked on a plan to increase the number of students who have access to early childhood education in Detroit and you can help make a difference. Your donation is an investment in the future of a child and in the future of our community.
