BENEFITING: CHILDRENS CANCER CENTER
EVENT DATE: Sep 15, 2012
It is truly an honor to participate in the Fall Stampede on September 15th, benefiting the Children’s Cancer Center. As an early childhood teacher, I am fortunate to work with young children every day and believe that their lives should be filled with happiness and wonder, free of pain and worry. Unfortunately, when children are diagnosed with cancer their lives become difficult, and sometimes unbearable. By supporting the Children’s Cancer Center, you will help children diagnosed with cancer, and their families, cope with every stage of the disease. The Children’s Cancer Center is a significant avenue of support from the time a child is diagnosed, through their treatment, to their hopeful cure, or in the worst case, a child's remembrance. I am running in memory of Amaya, one of my former students who lost her precious life to a brain tumor, and in honor of all the children and families who need strength in coping with this terrible disease.
