My name is Alicia. I live in Australia.
This is my first campaign to raise money for my friends in need.
Eric and Noel are my friends and live in Tacloban and their family is in Catbalogan, 2 hours drive north from Tacloban. Recently typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines. The worst of it hit Tacloban. Eric and Noel and their families were lucky enough to survive but they lost everything within a blink of the eye ( as lots of other people). They have no home, no food, no medicine, no drinking water. They need basics to survive.
You might be wondering where is red cross and government help. There is but unfortunately Eric's family weren't registered in the Catbalogan City Hall. They moved there last year and it was not as that important then but it is now. They were advised after standing whole day in the que to receive food supplies that because they are not registered they will not receive it as they are not on relief goods list.
Noel and his family moved there after typhoon destroyed Tacloban as it is much safer and they have electricity. They are staying with relatives.
Eric's and Noel's story is one of a million, but all lives are counting, everyone have right to live and I want to help them so they won't die from starvation and sickness because of lack of most important basics like food and water.
My goal is $2000 so I can split it between 2 families. There is 20 people in total. All money will go directly to them so they can live, buy food and medicine in the nearest city.
Please help me to help them.
