BENEFITING: CURE CMD
EVENT DATE: May 05, 2013
I am raising money for Congenital Muscular Dystrophy research through Cure CMD in hopes that we find treatment options for my nephew, Finley Michael, and many others.
Team Cure CMD is running/walking/rolling in the New Jersey Marathon's Long Branch Half Marathon on May 5, 2013 to raise funds for Cure CMD.
Congenital Muscular Dystrophies (CMD) are a group of muscle disorders causing weaknesses that are present at birth or ealy childhood. A child born with CMD may have various physical and/or neurological impairments. Some children never gain the ability to walk or stand or even breathe on their own, while others achieve these milestones only to lose them later in life. Currently there are no treatements for those disorders and many types of congenital muscle disorders go undiagnosed. Cure CMD is hoping to change all of this by working globally with world renowned researchers, parent advocates and governmental agencies to increase awareness and fund research projects.
Please support us as we try to raise funds for this important cause!
