EVENT DATE: Jun 11, 2017
I've never been a runner and I never thought I'd be able to run a 5K. That was until I met Margaret Randle and Jim McDaniel, parishioners at St. Peter's Church where I serve as the Rector, who shared with me about their remarkable daughter and gave me the courage to start running. Last year I was a spectator at the Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane. This year I will be a runner!
Susan McDaniel, an athlete, actress and equestrian, was a student at Lovelane throughout her 2-year battle with cancer. Susan was also a faithful member of St. Peter’s and the daughter of Margaret Randle and Jim McDaniel and the sister of John McDaniel. Susan regularly attended Sunday School, sang in the Children’s Choir and was a regular in the Christmas Pageant. Sadly, Susan passed away when she was 10, but her memory lives on in this annual run to benefit the children with special needs who ride at Lovelane and in her parents who give so much of their time in support of others.
If you are able, I'd be very grateful for your support! Thank you!
