For The Love of Myles

Organized by: April Pharis

I have always thanked God for bringing Myles to me in the first place but in these last few weeks I have thanked God endlessly for letting me keep him....not only alive but with no major brain damage or paralysis. For it was not only because of his dedication to motorcycle safety that may have saved his life but Gods will that this special man - my son- lives to continue being the loyal, dedicated, hard working, honest, caring man, son, father, friend, employee, nephew, cousin that he has grown to be.  He truly is the type of man who would give the shirt off his back if you were in need..and also for this I am a very proud mom.

As some of you know (and those great few who do not) Myles is an avid and excellent biker.  He is and always has been dedicated to motorcycle safety and education.  He began dirt bike riding at the age of 10 and by 17 years old he decided he wanted his life's work to be involved in the motorcycle industry. He attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ where he majored in Motorcycle Mechanics and earned an equivalent of a Bachelors Degree.  He is currently employed with a high level and well respected motorcylce company in Austin, TX.  He has followed his dream.  He is not a wealthy man and though he doesn't want to shirk his own  responsibility for his injuries- he truly does need do many blue collar Americans these days.

It is my hope that this will go out not only to those family and friends that that we know but that everyone who sees this will post/share/tweet/text/forward  to EVERYONE they know as well.

It doesn't matter if it's only a dollar ($1) or a thousand...every single dollar will be greatly appreciated.

His initial hospital bill is $60,000.00 AND thus far he has been unable to return to work since the accident.  At the time of his accident he was just under 48 hours of his health insurance taking effect.  This fundraiser is dedicated to easing some of the costs and helping him get back on his feet.

This Saturday, August 27th, 2016 beginning at 6:00 pm, a benefit is being held in his honor.  It is at The Goal Post in Round Rock, TX. ALL are welcomed.  A raffle of items will be held as well as auctioned items, food and drinks and fun and memories!  It will be not only a benefit but a celebration that he is still with us today, August 24th, 2016 for his 31st birthday.

My goal for the online portion of fundraising is just $10,000.00.  This will allow him to set up a reasonable payment plan for his medical bills as well as make it through these two months of rent and necessary bills.  I will provide each and every donor an exact breakdown of where every penny is spent. FYI - 9% of your donation will go to this sponsoring website (crowdrise).

He truly is a wonderful man but as I said he is not a wealthy man. He's a down-to-earth blue collar worker who needs a little help right now.  So PLEASE pass this on...word-of-mouth, person to person, American to American.

So THANK YOU for taking the time to read this...for understanding...for caring.
